eLearning Rules!
I've super lucky to have found true success in the e-learning voice-over industry. I did my first e-learning gig in 1997 and have been working with the same client for almost 26 years. E-learning is the most stable form of voiceover work compared to other genres like cartoons, video games, and commercials. With e-learning, I almost never have to audition as I've been working with most of my clients for 5, 10, 15, or 20+ years. They just hire me for the job because they know I can get the job done.
Why Do I Love eLearning?
I enjoy e-learning because it provides a stable form of income. It's important to remember that all voice over work involves storytelling, which requires acting skills, performance, engagement with the audience, and understanding their needs. This applies whether the audience is listening to an executive summary, choosing insurance benefits, or learning fractions. Anyone who says otherwise is either bad at e-learning or doesn't do it.

Takeaways:
all voice acting is storytelling and eLearning is no different
What draws you to the voiceover industry may not necessarily be what keeps you in the voice-over industry. eLearning may be your way in!
